BC Hosts Spring Fling Events
Last week, Bakersfield College hosted a series of “Spring Fling” events for a week of interactive and riveting activities like sports tournaments, games, outside activities, lively discussions, and much more.
Spring Fling presented the perfect opportunity to spend the day outdoors with friends through game events like the Pop by & Play, which featured volleyball, soccer, football, and a bounce house. Later in the week, Renegades had the opportunity to play pickleball on the campus tennis courts. On Tuesday, BCSGA hosted “Let’s Taco ‘bout Your BC Experience” where students were able to enjoy some delicious tacos and talk face-to-face with student government representatives.
On Wednesday, BC President Dr. Jerry E. Fliger hosted an open forum, which gave students a unique opportunity to ask questions and interact with the new president. It was an exciting time of discussion and, as a bonus, breakfast was provided for attendees. On Thursday, BC invited ‘The Mentalist’ to make an appearance and present a mind-blowing show in the Dining Commons.
The week concluded with the Student Leadership & Involvement Awards to celebrate the results of the BCSGA elections and to present awards to student employees nominated by their departments for their excellent work and contributions.
